The event is open to anyone \u2013 clinical or non-clinical\u2014 interested in the advancement of science, biomedical research, and medical technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenting Inventors: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/doctors\/joseph-lombardi-md\"><strong>Joseph V. Lombardi, MD, FACS<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 inventor of a device (thoracoabdominal hybrid graft) for expediting the repair of a thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm, type 2 or greater.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/doctors\/jeffrey-carpenter-md\"><strong>Jeffrey Carpenter, MD<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/doctors\/katherine-mcmackin-md\"><strong>Katherine McMackin, MD, MS<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 inventors of an antegrade femoral artery entry device.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/doctors\/robert-hirsh-md\"><strong>Robert Hirsh, MD<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/larry-mulligan-69608121\/\"><strong>Larry Mulligan, PhD<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 inventors of a wearable multimodal sensory system to monitor cardiac health for early detection of congestive heart failure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/larry-mulligan-69608121\/\"><strong>Larry Mulligan, PhD<\/strong><\/a><strong>, FAHA<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcphs.edu\/directory\/0434851\"><strong>Jeffrey Hill, MSc, ACS<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 creators of technology for the integrated assessment of cardiac function and vascular health.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/doctors\/david-shersher-md\"><strong>David Shersher, MD<\/strong><\/a>, in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/doctors\/wissam-abouzgheib-md\"><strong>Wissam Abouzgheib, MD<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 recently completed a proof-of-concept study with a new prototype device that clears pleural ependymas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Cooper Innovation Center was founded in 2022 to advance biomedical research and technologies developed by Cooper physicians and researchers and through collaboration with industry. The event will be held at Cooper University Hospital Conference Center (Room CC121), One Cooper Plaza, in Camden, NJ.
