ESPN Correspondent, Cooper Foundation Board Member Sal Paolantonio Inducted Into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame<\/p><\/div>\n

(CAMDEN, NJ) \u2013 On November 15, Sal Paolantonio, a member of The Cooper Foundation Board of Trustees, was inducted into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame at the organization\u2019s 45th<\/sup> Annual Gala in Chicago. Paolantonio, a Philadelphia-based sports reporter and author and resident of Moorestown, NJ, best known for his work with ESPN, has been a long-time supporter of The Cooper Foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Cooper Foundation has been honored to have Sal\u2019s steadfast support over the years. His generosity and commitment to the community have positively impacted countless patients and their families,\u201d said Philip A. Norcross, Esq., chairman of The Cooper Foundation. \u201cWe are thrilled to celebrate Sal\u2019s induction into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the world of professional sports.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so pleased that Sal Paolantonio, a longtime friend and dedicated supporter of Cooper, is being recognized for all he’s achieved by being inducted into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame,\u201d said George E. Norcross III, chairman of the board of Cooper University Health Care. \u201cSal rightfully stands alongside broadcasting legends like Phil Rizzuto and Dick Vitale and sports icons like Vince Lombardi and Yogi Berra. His induction is a fitting tribute to his remarkable achievements and dedication to excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paolantonio joined ESPN in 1995 and primarily covers the National Football League (NFL). He is known for providing in-depth reporting and analysis on major NFL events, including games, playoffs, and the Super Bowl. In addition to his television work, he has written books on football and has contributed to ESPN’s various multimedia platforms. Before joining ESPN, he worked as a political reporter and bureau chief for The Philadelphia Inquirer. He has a reputation for his engaging reporting style and insightful commentary.<\/p>\n

The Italian American Sports Hall of Fame (NIASHF) is an organization dedicated to recognizing and honoring the achievements of Italian Americans in sports. Founded in 1977 and based in Chicago, Illinois, the Hall of Fame celebrates the accomplishments of athletes, coaches, and other sports figures who have made significant contributions to their sports and have Italian heritage.<\/p>\n
