The mission involved performing complex surgeries, mentoring local surgeons and residents, and building a sustainable partnership with the hospital\u2014a free, charitable institution serving one of Karachi&#8217;s poorest areas.<\/p>\n<p>Over eight days, the team conducted more than 30 surgeries addressing advanced thyroid goiters and oral cancers caused by widespread betel nut consumption.
