The series is now part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.loc.gov\/covid-19-folklife\/national-and-regional#:~:text=Stories%20in%20Care%22%20is,and%20season%20two.\">American Folklife Center\u2019s \u201cStories from the COVID-19 Pandemic\u201d<\/a> collection.<\/p>\n<p>Produced in collaboration with Narrative Media, the two-season, 22-episode documentary captures the raw, emotional experiences of physicians, nurses, and staff in Cooper\u2019s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during the earliest and most uncertain days of the pandemic. Told through powerful first-person accounts, <em>Stories in Care<\/em> highlights the courage, compassion, and humanity of Cooper\u2019s Critical Care team as they faced an unprecedented global health crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the story of COVID-19 is often told in numbers\u2014tests, hospital admissions, and deaths\u2014we wanted to capture and preserve the deeply human stories behind those statistics,\u201d said Nitin K. Puri, MD, director of Critical Care Medicine at Cooper, whose team is featured in the series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDocumenting the COVID-19 pandemic experience and lessons learned by frontline clinical teams is important for future generations,\u201d said Kevin O\u2019Dowd, JD, co-CEO of Cooper. \u201cWe are deeply grateful to Cooper\u2019s courageous, compassionate, and committed team of critical care professionals for all they did during the pandemic and honored that these powerful stories will now be preserved as part of our nation\u2019s historical record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFive years after the start of the pandemic, this series is still powerful and emotional and provides an invaluable perspective\u2014not only for the public but for future generations of health care workers,\u201d said Anthony J.
