Reboli, MD, Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Cooper University Hospital, has been named Vice Founding Dean of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.<\/p>\n<p>Reboli,\u00a0 who served as interim dean for the medical school prior to the appointment of Dr. Paul Katz as the school\u2019s founding dean, was named vice dean by Rowan\u2019s Board of Trustees on August 10.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr. Reboli was instrumental in putting our medical school on the right path from the very start,\u201d says Katz. \u201cHer leadership, scholarship and vision will be invaluable to us as we move forward to build a medical school of national prominence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Reboli also serves as the deputy chief for administration of the Department of Medicine at Cooper, where she also serves as the hospital epidemiologist. She is a professor of medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases, Reboli has authored or co-authored more than 60 medical publications and book chapters. Her research interests include serious fungal infections; she is internationally known for her research on invasive candidiasis. She has been named a \u201cTop Doctor\u201d in a host of magazines, including New Jersey Monthly, Philadelphia Magazine, South Jersey Magazine, SJ Magazine, and Consumers\u2019 Checkbook<\/p>\n<p>Reboli earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown Universi\u00adty College of Arts and Sciences in Washington, D.C., and completed her medical degree with honors from Georgetown University School of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr. Reboli is one of our most respected physicians and her proven leadership capabilities will be an asset to continued progress for the medical school,\u201d said John P.
