The 2010\/2011 award identifies hospitals which consumers have chosen as having the highest quality of care.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, the National Research Corporation surveys 250,000 homes nationally to identify the nation&#8217;s top hospitals. The award is based on the regional consumer responses in four categories: best doctors, best nurses, best image and reputation and best overall quality of care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHealthcare has become an increasingly important issue across the country and empowered consumers are making decisions for themselves and their families when selecting their healthcare facilities and services,\u201d said Ginny Martin, President of NRC\u2019s Ticker Division. \u201cAs care options multiply and financial challenges remain strong, consumer perception of quality continues to grow in importance.\u00a0 Dedication to providing high quality healthcare has become essential for all hospitals.\u00a0 In the face of adversity, these Consumer Choice award winners exemplify the dedication it takes to provide quality healthcare to their communities, and we are please to honor them through the eyes of their patients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->&#8220;Providing the highest quality of care remains our commitment to the patients we serve throughout the region,&#8221; said John P.
