\"Pearlman\"Great story from today’s Courier-Post<\/em> about Patricia Pearlman, who spent her afternoon helping to bake 1,500 batches of cupcakes for a sale to benefit Clare’s Cupboard and her evening accepting an award as Cooper’s 2010 Nurse of the Year.<\/p>\n

To date, Clare’s Cupboard has helped over 100 families and raised more than $50,000.\u00a0 The program, which Pearlman founded two years ago, continues to grow and has recently expanded it\u2019s donations for pediatric patients in the trauma department and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).<\/p>\n

“It’s very rewarding and makes you feel really good inside,” said Pearlman, 52, a registered nurse in Cooper’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. “It makes you want to do even more because there’s so many more out there.”<\/p>\n

Pearlman accepted her peer-nominated award reluctantly. “It’s for everybody who has made this happen,” she said of Clare’s Cupboard.<\/p>\n

“It’s overwhelming. I’m very honored,” said Pearlman, who has worked in several departments since coming to Cooper in 1988. “I feel like I’m taking credit for so many people.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
