Are potentially life-saving nuclear stress tests being denied by major insurance companies?<\/p>\n

As part of a recent investigation, CBS3’s medical reporter, Stephanie Stahl, looked to Fredrick L. Ginsberg, M.D., a cardiologist with the Cooper Heart Institute, for perspective.<\/p>\n

“Treating cardiologist are in the best position to determine when these stress tests are useful and appropriate,” said Dr. Fredrick Ginsberg, a cardiologist at Cooper University Hospital. Dr. Ginsberg, who is not Mike’s doctor, says battling with insurance companies is frustrating for doctors everywhere.<\/p>\n

“We are having our judgment and recommendations superseded by decisions by insurance companies,” said Dr. Ginsberg.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
