Cooper University Hospital\u2019s Fourth\u00a0Annual Resident\/Fellow Forum was held\u00a0August 11 on the 10th floor of the Roberts\u00a0Pavilion. Residents and Fellows in attendance represented 13 programs.<\/p>\n

Information tables were provided by\u00a0the GMEC, Sim Lab, CIRT, Pastoral Care,\u00a0Planetree\/Patient Centered Care, HR\/Benefits, Research Institute, Patient Safety,\u00a0Performance Improvement, Documentation and Coding, and Health Information\u00a0Management.<\/p>\n

Moderated by Antoinette Spevetz,\u00a0MD, Designated Institution Official, the\u00a0formal program included an introduction\u00a0of Executive Management; comments by Carolyn E. Bekes, MD, Chief Medical Officer; and an update on the Cooper\u00a0Medical School of Rowan University, by\u00a0Paul Katz, MD, Dean.<\/p>\n

Paul Murray, Director of Security, detailed the 24\/7 monitoring of the Cooper campus. John Schwarz, VP, Facilities and Support Services, outlined plans of the continuing campus expansion, including the new Cooper\u00a0Cancer Center. William R. Graessle, MD, Assistant Medical Director, GME, concluded\u00a0the program with an overview of the new\u00a0ACGME Institutional and Program requirements that went into effect on July 1.<\/p>\n

A light dinner buffet and desserts were\u00a0provided by Cooper\u2019s Food & Nutrition\u00a0Department. Chef Jeff Klova prepared\u00a0a creative menu featuring Mediterranean\u00a0favorites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
