This unique guide addresses essential areas of content recommended by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) to ensure graduate students are adequately prepared to enter the nursing field.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with co-author Ann Curley, PhD, Nurse Administrator at Capital Health in Trenton, N.J., Dr. Vitale and Dr. Curley came up with the idea while the two co-taught an epidemiology course for doctoral students at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Dr. Vitale has been an adjunct assistant professor at UMDNJ for over six years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe both felt that the collaboration between myself, a physician with a strong background in public health and epidemiology, and a highly educated nurse administrator and researcher, was the perfect complement,\u201d said Dr. Vitale. \u201cI feel so proud to have put together a resource, such as this, that will help students to excel in the field of nursing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The book\u2019s official release date was October 25, 2011.
