nearly 100 school nurses, coaches and athletic trainers from across the Delaware Valley joined Cooper in Schools at The Westin in Mount Laurel for their third annual Continuing Education Symposium \u201cStronger Children, Stronger Communities.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/2012\/03\/nurses-coaches-and-athletic-trainers-attend-cooper-in-school%e2%80%99s-3rd-annual-continuing-education-symposium\/0322_cooperinschoolsmar2012-002\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4217\" title=\"0322_CooperInSchoolsMar2012 002\" throughout the day-long symposium including leading Cooper physicians and health care professionals, each an expert in his or her field, discussing a variety of topics including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bullying \u2013 The \u201cShark\u201d Versus the \u201cShark Meat\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Sprains and Strains<\/li>\n<li>Melanoma Prevention in Children<\/li>\n<li>Genes, Traits and Proteins \u2013 Understanding Sickle Cell Disease<\/li>\n<li>Asthma \u2013 Controlling the Disease and the Environment<\/li>\n<li>Diabetes \u2013 Signs and Symptoms<\/li>\n<li>Concussion Updates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They also had the opportunity to visit 13 vendor booths and network with each other as well as Cooper staff.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who helped make the event a
