Certified child passenger safety technicians will be stationed at the parking circle in front of the Cooper Robert\u2019s Pavilion lobby every month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. inspecting the selection and installation of each vehicles child safety and booster seats. Parents and caregivers will receive one-on-one instruction on how to properly use and install their child\u2019s safety seat.<\/p>\n<p>According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death for children one to 12 years old in the United States. Having the right child safety seat and knowing how to properly install the seat in the car is crucial. While many states have improved their requirements for child restraint use, recent studies show that only half of children ages four through eight rides in any type of safety seat.
