Hospitals in this program are recognized for using evidence-based guidelines in each of the categories Get With The Guidelines measures. Those hospitals marking 85 percent compliance for 12 consecutive months are given the Silver Performance Achievement award.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Under the direction of Fredric Ginsberg, M.D., the Cooper Heart Failure Program provides advanced inpatient and outpatient disease management for patients throughout the Delaware Valley.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud that the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association have recognized Cooper for our outstanding performance in the treatment of heart failure,\u201d said Carolyn E. Bekes, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Cooper. \u201cThe Get With The Guidelines program provides our physicians and staff with the scientific guidelines that significantly improve patient outcomes and quality of life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Get With The Guidelines is a hospital-based, quality-improvement program designed to ensure that hospitals consistently care for cardiac and stroke patients following the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations.
