Carpenter, MD<\/a>, Chairman and Chief of the Department of Surgery and Vice President of Perioperative Services at Cooper University Health Care, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Delaware Valley Vascular Society, presented by Joseph V. Lombardi, MD, President of the Delaware Valley Vascular Society, on April 23, 2015, at the 2015 Annual Meeting held at the Union League of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Carpenter joined Cooper in 2008 as Chief of the Department of Surgery. He has dedicated his entire career to innovating the field of vascular and endovascular surgery and continues to do so by his commitment to research and education.\u00a0His special interests include abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, carotid arterial disease, peripheral vascular disease and endovascular surgery. Dr. Carpenter serves or has served on the editorial boards of the <em>Journal of Vascular Surgery<\/em>, <em>Vascular and Endovascular Surgery<\/em>, the <em>Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Therapy<\/em>, <em>Vascular<\/em> and several other journals. Dr. Carpenter is well published in his field with more than 250 papers.<\/p>\n<p><em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em>&#8216;s &#8220;Top Doctors&#8221; rankings have placed Dr. Carpenter in the top 1 percent of vascular and endovascular surgeons nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Our warmest and sincerest congratulations are extended to Dr. Carpenter for his lifelong dedication and service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeffrey P.
