Do you have a canine friend that is especially gentle, affectionate and loves people? If so, you might want to consider becoming part of a volunteer pet therapy team.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper is Partnering with PAWS for People to offer training for potential pet therapy teams at the hospital on Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. \u00a0in Roberts Pavilion, Room 1014.<\/p>\n<p>Several pet therapy teams already make regular visits at Cooper. If you or someone you know wants to help others by sharing the affection of your dog, this is a great way to get involved.<\/p>\n<p>To get involved, go to <a href=\"http:\/\/pawsforpeople.org\/\">PAWSforPeople.org<\/a> and complete the online application. PAWS will contact you with the next steps. The cost is $35. For those pet therapy teams that successfully pass the training, PAWS offers opportunities to volunteer at Cooper as well as a variety of nursing homes, schools and other organizations in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Space is limited.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Attention, dog owners!
