Dr. Wilson-Smith is currently the #1 ranked robotic surgeon among gynecologic surgeons in the Central\/Southern New Jersey area.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>da Vinci\u00ae<\/em> Surgical System allows surgeons to operate through just a few small incisions. The <em>da Vinci\u00ae<\/em>\u00a0system features a magnified 3D high-definition vision system and tiny-wristed instruments that bend and rotate far greater than the human hand. As a result, <em>da Vinci\u00ae<\/em> enables Cooper surgeons to operate with enhanced vision, precision and control. In addition to a quicker recovery time for patients, other potential benefits of robotic surgery include less blood loss, reduced post-operative pain, faster and easier recovery, less scarring, and quicker return to daily activities.<\/p>\n<p>Robotic-assisted surgery is being used at Cooper University Health Care to treat a number of gynecologic, urologic, thoracic and other concerns.
