July 2017 Daisy Award winner Diane Werner, RN<\/p><\/div>\n

Cooper University Health Care recently recognized Diane Werner, RN, of Haddonfield, NJ, with The DAISY Award<\/a> for providing exceptional nursing care. Diane works as a nurse in Cooper\u2019s Post Anesthesia Care Unit and was nominated by the family of a recent patient.\u00a0 She was cited for her professional care, compassion and advocacy on behalf of the patient following several recent surgeries.<\/p>\n

The DAISY Award, established by The DAISY Foundation, is an international program that celebrates the extraordinary care given by nurses every day. It is presented in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives.<\/p>\n

Each winner receives a DAISY Award recipient pin, a Healer\u2019s Touch hand-carved statue, an award certificate, and a gift certificate to Cinnabon\u00ae. In addition, the selected nurse\u2019s unit receives a banner to post for the quarter.<\/p>\n

Anyone\u2014patients, families, and professional colleagues\u2014may nominate a Cooper nurse for The DAISY Award. The DAISY nomination materials are located on nursing units and other public locations throughout the Cooper Camden campus and outpatient offices, as well as online through the Cooper website.
