Nocchi, MD<\/a>, who will lead the program along with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/physicians\/meena-r-sharma-md\">Meena R. Sharma<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The program is designed to complement existing treatment plans prescribed by patients\u2019 primary care and specialty physicians. Care plans focus on natural remedies (that do not interfere with traditional medications) and proven complementary medicine approaches such as acupuncture, therapeutic massage, meditation, and yoga. The program does not replace primary care, and the program\u2019s doctors will work in conjunction with the patient\u2019s other primary care physicians or specialists.<\/p>\n<p>A typical integrative medicine consult will address diet and nutrition; physical activity; mind-body interaction; stress; supplements and botanical medicines; as well as spiritual, emotional and\/or social needs. Most insurance companies cover integrative medicine appointments.
