Students with dyslexia can effectively learn with appropriate educational interventions and teaching methods tailored to their specific learning disability.\u00a0 According to some experts, up to 15 percent of the population has dyslexia and related disorders.<\/p>\n<p>The Cooper Learning Center at Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper will examine this important topic at their fifth annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/services\/cooper-learning-center\/facets-dyslexia-conference?utm_source=newsblog&amp;utm_medium=post&amp;utm_campaign=Cooper%20Blog%20Tracking%202018&amp;utm_content=Facets%20of%20Dyslexia%20Info%20Page\">Dyslexia and Language Related Disabilities Conference: Facets of Dyslexia<\/a> on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The conference will be held at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine\u2019s Stratford Campus Academic Center, 40 East Laurel Road, Stratford, NJ. \u00a0This conference is designed to be educational, practical and interactive for professionals as well as parents.\u00a0 There is an array of workshops ranging from practical classroom applications to developing behavioral strategies and techniques to help the struggling student.<\/p>\n<p>The keynote speaker is Jamie Martin, an assistive technology consultant and trainer, specializing in finding assistive technology tools for students and adults with dyslexia. In addition, more than a dozen national and regional experts will share their knowledge and experiences about dyslexia and language-related disabilities. Access to the exhibitors\u2019 hall and lunch are included in the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The cost to attend is $125. Preregistration and prepayment is required.
