To meet the growth in the number of patients seeking surgery<\/a>, today Cooper University Health Care opened eight new operating rooms including a special suite for vascular procedures, increasing its total number of operating rooms system-wide to 38.<\/p>\n

Cooper Opens Eight New Operating Rooms to Meet Growing Patient Volume<\/p><\/div>\n

As a leading academic, tertiary care health system with the region\u2019s only Level 1 Trauma Center<\/a>, demand for services at Cooper have grown over the past six years, particularly in the area of surgical services.\u00a0 In addition to its hospital-based surgical suites at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, Cooper operates an outpatient surgical center in Voorhees, NJ. The number of surgeries at Cooper system-wide has grown from 14,737 procedures in 2011 to 21,890 in 2017, an increase of 49 percent.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are grateful that growing numbers of patients continue to trust in Cooper University Health Care,\u201d said Anthony J.
