Executives from Subaru of America\u2019s corporate headquarters and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) delivered messages of hope and 100 specially made blankets to outpatients at MD Anderson at Cooper to help encourage patients and keep them warm as they continue their fight against cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is such a generous and kind gesture from our friends from Subaru of America, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,\u201d said Adrienne Kirby, PhD, FACHE, Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer at Cooper University Health Care. \u201cThe blankets and the notes of encouragement will mean a lot to our patients \u2013 just as it does to us. Thank you so much for thinking of us and for your commitment to helping cancer patients.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event was part of an initiative by Subaru of America and LLS to provide much needed support and \u201cwarmth\u201d to cancer patients and their families in communities across the country. Throughout the summer, visitors to participating Subaru retailers wrote messages of hope for cancer patients as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. More than 105,000 blankets have been donated to cancer patients nationwide since the program began.<\/p>\n
