\"Wedding\"She spent 108 Days in the ICU fighting H1N1, Now She Celebrates Her Courtship at the Place that Saved Her Life 6-Months Ago<\/h3>\n

Elise Rector of Mount Laurel, N.J., came to Cooper on November 1, 2009 after having difficulty breathing. What happened next would change the lives of Elise and her family forever. Not only was she suffering from the H1N1 virus but they also found out that she was 36-weeks pregnant with her first baby.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, she was immediately able to give birth to a healthy baby girl named Jayla by C-section without complications, but for Elise the battle had just begun. Doctors found that she was suffering from acute lung failure and Elise was put in a medically induced coma. She spent more than 2 \u00bd months in Cooper\u2019s Intensive Care Unit. Her boyfriend Vincent, who is also the baby\u2019s father, stood by her every step of the way of she fought for her life.<\/p>\n

Today, Elise is on her way to a full recovery and out of rehab. She credits the amazing team of physicians and nurses in the Cooper ICU for saving her life and that of her baby, Jayla, who is now more than six months old.<\/p>\n

On Friday, she and her fianc\u00e9 Vincent wed in Cooper\u2019s Margaret L. Isaacs Chapel in a ceremony which began at noon and included many of the staff members responsible for her remarkable recovery joining in their celebration of love.<\/p>\n
