Laufgraben, MD, Recruited to Head Division<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the fastest growing patient groups in the U.S. healthcare system is the complex endocrine patient. To address this increasing patient population in southern New Jersey, the Cooper Department of Medicine has\u00a0committed to a significant expansion of endocrine services, including: the recruitment of new physician leadership and clinicians, and the addition of new outpatient office locations throughout the region.<\/p>\n<p>To lead the Division of Endocrinology, Cooper has recruited renowned clinician and academician, Marc J. Laufgraben, MD, MBA, FACE, FACP. Dr. Laufgraben joins Cooper University Hospital as Head of the Division of Endocrinology from Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI, where he was Clinical Director\u00a0of the Hallett Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, as well as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, RI.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Laufgraben completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Endocrinology at Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital, Boston, MA.
