However, when prostate cancer struck, this Marine Corps veteran with the tough exterior was stopped in his tracks, unsure of what direction to take. After researching for three years, Mr. Hawk and his wife, Barbara, who is a former operating room nurse, decided to wage a war on cancer and chose to have minimally invasive robotic prostate surgery at Cooper.<\/p>\n<p>The surgery went as planned, however the customer service experience left the greatest impression on the Hawks. In a letter written to the Chief Executive Officer at Cooper following their stay at Cooper, Mrs. Hawk commented, \u201cThe pre, intra and post-operative journey was seamless. At every level, the Cooper Team provided compassion to comfort and care for both of us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Hawk states, \u201cA cancer diagnosis impacts individuals and families each day throughout the world. Cooper took us both into their care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Today, Mr. Hawk is cancer free.
