{"id":10490,"date":"2019-08-06T15:47:50","date_gmt":"2019-08-06T19:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/?p=10490"},"modified":"2019-08-09T11:04:12","modified_gmt":"2019-08-09T15:04:12","slug":"new-technology-for-bacterial-and-yeast-identification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2019\/08\/new-technology-for-bacterial-and-yeast-identification\/","title":{"rendered":"New Technology for Bacterial and Yeast Identification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <strong>Monday, August 12, 2019, <\/strong>MALDI\u2013TOF M will be implemented at Cooper University Health Care\u2019s Microbiology Section of the Pathology Department for bacterial and yeast identification.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MALDI is a more efficient technology that provides:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Faster turnaround time for at least 24 hours of final bacterial and yeast identification results that you would be able to act upon.<\/li>\n<li>More accurate and precise identifications of bacteria and yeasts.<\/li>\n<li>New identifications that were not available before.
