DAISY award winner Michelle Mento, BSN, RN, CCRN, SRNA<\/p><\/div>\n

Cooper University Health Care recently recognized Michelle Mento, BSN, RN, CCRN, SRNA, of West Berlin, NJ, with The DAISY Award for providing exceptional nursing care to a dying patient and her family. Mento is a nurse in Cooper\u2019s Intensive Care Unit.<\/p>\n

According to the patient\u2019s family member who nominated Mento for the award, \u201cMichelle is an exemplary nurse and human. She was a tiny light on my family\u2019s darkest day, and I will always remember the impact she made on our family.\u201d<\/p>\n

The DAISY Award, established by The DAISY Foundation, is an international program that celebrates the extraordinary care given by nurses every day. It is presented in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives.<\/p>\n

Anyone\u2014patients, families, and professional colleagues\u2014may nominate a Cooper nurse for The DAISY Award.
