If so, Cooper has a great opportunity for you!<\/p>\n<p>Cooper is hosting a Chronic-Disease Peer Leader Training program in February. During the training, you will learn how to teach strategies and techniques proven to help motivate and empower participants with conditions, such as PTSD, diabetes, pain, arthritis, and more.<\/p>\n<p>No previous health care training or leadership experience is required. This program is being offered to anyone with a chronic condition or for those caring for someone with a chronic condition.<\/p>\n<p>Once trained, you will have the opportunity to lead Chronic Disease Self-Management Program courses and be ready to teach skills for a healthy lifestyle, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Healthy eating and exercise.<\/li>\n<li>Managing pain, fatigue, frustration, and medications.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with health care professionals, family, and friends.<\/li>\n<li>Making treatment-related decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Peer Leader Training dates:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dates: February 11, 13, 25, 27, 2020<\/strong><br \/>\n(Attendance to all four sessions is necessary to fulfill the training requirements and to receive your certificate of completion.)<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (one hour included for lunch)<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> CCBO, 1 Federal Street (SE2-215\/220 conference rooms), Camden<\/p>\n<p>To register, or for questions about Peer Leader Training, contact Max Kursh at 856.382.6689 or <a href=\"mailto:kursh-maxwell@cooperhealth.edu\">kursh-maxwell@cooperhealth.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Would you like to help others better manage their health care conditions?
