S.T.R.O<\/strong>.N.G.<\/p>\n

Cooper, as a member of the New Jersey High Reliability Organization (HRO) collaborative, also known as New Jersey S.T.R.O.N.G., presents the fourth safety behavior tool called On Task, which is a way to emphasize focused attention to detail and being in the moment during our busy day-to-day work activities.<\/p>\n

On Task is designed to prevent us from making skill-based errors \u2013 those unintended slips and lapses when we perform familiar, routine acts as if we\u2019re on auto-pilot without even thinking. These errors are so simple that we are surprised when we make them. This safety behavior is used to reduce unintentional errors when we\u2019re under time-pressure, distracted, or stressed.<\/p>\n

The one error prevention tool that is used for On Task is self-checking using the STAR<\/strong> technique.<\/p>\n
