Cooper\u2019s Children\u2019s Regional Hospital and the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department would like to extend a warm, colorful thank you to all Cooper team members who donated new, used, and broken crayons. We are incredibly impressed with the success of the first crayon donation event at Cooper highlighting Art Therapy Awareness.<\/p>\n

Through The Crayon Initiative, the used and broken crayons Cooper team members and our community collected will be upcycled into new crayons and distributed to art programs at children\u2019s hospitals across the U.S., brightening the lives of young patients during their stay. These programs provide young patients with a creative outlet to express themselves, while at the same time helping to alleviate anxiety. They also enhance problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, while promoting creativity and imagination.<\/p>\n

We are forever grateful for the amazing Cooper team who dropped off crayon donations. Check out photos of the crayon donations and the Cooper team that put this event together.<\/p>\n
