Cooper University Health Care is proud to be among the winners of the 2021 NJ BIZ Healthcare Heroes awards. The annual statewide program recognizes individuals and organizations across 12 categories for their significant impacts on the health care industry and landscape in New Jersey.\u00a0 The winners will be honored at a virtual event to be held in August.<\/p>\n
Cooper team members won in two categories: Linda Valenti, AVP of Professional Services, was honored in the Healthcare Professional category, and the Resiliency Resources Team was recognized in the Workplace Wellness category.<\/p>\n
Linda was responsible for operationalizing multiple community COVID-19 sites throughout South Jersey. Under her leadership, those sites have provided testing to more than 113,396 people to date. When the NJ Department of Health enlisted Cooper\u2019s services to provide testing for more than 3,000 residents and staff at nursing homes and extended care facilities throughout South Jersey, she led the team that executed the task within days. Later, when Cooper\u2019s COVID-19 response turned to vaccine rollout, Linda once again was instrumental in rapidly developing multiple vaccination sites.<\/p>\n
As health care workers across the world faced increased stress, anxiety, and traumatic grief caring for large numbers of COVID-19 patients and witnessing high loss of life, Cooper\u2019s Resiliency Resources Team proactively developed programs and provided direct support to Cooper staff. Throughout the pandemic and beyond the team provided ongoing education and skill-building through resiliency workshops, peer support groups, and developing an internal website and extensive wellness content. \u00a0Members of the Resiliency Resources Team include: Kelly Gilrain, PhD; Philip Fizur, PsyD; Eileen Campbell; Paula Watson; Siani Jordan; Eric Kupersmith, MD; Anthony Rostain, MD; Anastasia Bullock, PsyD, and Christina Goodwin, PhD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
