To help address COVID-19 inequities, Cooper received a grant from the NJ Department of Health to support its testing, vaccine, education, outreach, and social determinant initiatives. The project offers a variety of activities and events to help reduce the spread of COVID-19:<\/p>\n

a.) Processing and communicating results of COVID-19 tests
\nb.) Vaccinations for all eligible populations
\nc.) Education about COVID-19, vaccinations, and more to address fears and concerns
\nd.) Outreach to provide awareness and share trends related to COVID-19, Cooper\u2019s program, and relevant offerings<\/p>\n

All patients participating in the program will be contacted and screened for the opportunity to connect with community-based organizations that can address their social and health-related needs, such as food, housing, and transportation.<\/p>\n

Since the pandemic started, Cooper has been a leader in Southern New Jersey in the fight against COVID-19. Cooper quickly responded by establishing numerous community-based testing sites in the region. Since testing services began, Cooper has provided COVID-19 testing to more than 114,000 community members at its various sites, including more than 3,000 patients and staff at long-term care facilities throughout South Jersey.\u00a0Cooper was one of the first New Jersey hospital systems to treat a COVID-19 patient and we continue to provide superior patient care on the front lines and through targeted initiatives.<\/p>\n
