In accordance with Cooper\u2019s Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy, eligible employees may sell back earned but unused PTO time twice a year, in May and November. The November payout will be based on PTO accrued as of the pay period ending November 20, 2021. <strong>Payment will be made on Friday, December 3, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you submit your request, an automatic confirmation email will be sent to your Cooper email address. Instructions on how to submit your sell back are available <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/files\/2021\/10\/PTO-Sell-Back-Checklist-10252021.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The following outlines the criteria for eligibility:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time employees may sell back from 8 to 40 hours of PTO time in 8-, 10-, or 12-hour increments, depending upon the length of the employee\u2019s normal work shift. However, a minimum of 72 hours must be maintained in the employee\u2019s PTO bank at the time of the sell back.<\/li>\n<li>Part-time employees may sell back from 8 to 24 hours of PTO in 8-, 10-, or 12-hour increments, provided a minimum of 36 hours is maintained in the employee\u2019s PTO bank at the time of the sell back.<\/li>\n<li>Payment for the sell back will be at the employee\u2019s base rate of pay.<\/li>\n<li>The sell back of PTO is voluntary and sell-back decisions are final upon receipt by the Payroll Department.<\/li>\n<li>Employees who do not accrue PTO on a bi-weekly basis are not eligible for sell back.<\/li>\n<li>Employees must submit their request via ESS\u00a0<strong>by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021.<\/strong><strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Payroll will adjust any PTO sell-back requests on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, where the eligible PTO balance will now fall below the required minimum hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For questions regarding the PTO sell-back process, please contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:HRCompensation@cooperhealth.edu\">HRCompensation@cooperhealth.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Computer Access and Human Resources Assistance<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you do not have access to a computer or need assistance, you may visit the Human Resources office at Sheridan Pavilion or the CCBO, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:HRCompensation@Cooper.edu\"><strong>HRCompensation@Cooper.edu<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PTO Sell Back Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. You will need this email confirmation if there is an issue with your submission in order to dispute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are amending your original sell back hours, you must enter the total hours you are requesting, not the additional amount. Previous submissions will be overwritten.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Example \u2013 You submit a request for 16 hours and then decided to request 24 hrs. You must submit a second request for 24 hours.
