Erin Valentine, RN,<\/strong> is the DAISY Award winner for October 2021. Her dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care she provided to our Cooper patients earned her the following accolades:<\/p>\n

\u201cErin was my night nurse for three nights. She saw my stress and intervened, she could have walked on by but she took the time to interact with me \u2013 discuss my problem causing the stress and to clarify options available to me.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the course of a conversation I mentioned I was running out of Polident, when she came in that night, she brought me a box of Polident tablets, how nice was that? Something she did not have to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was gentle and skilled in drawling my labs and starting my IV, but what she demonstrated to me was her heart is warm, kind and reassuring.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vincenzo Calla, RN,<\/strong> Pavilion 7 overnight\u00a0RN, is the DAISY Award winner for November 2021. His\u00a0dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care he provided to our Cooper patients earned him\u00a0the following accolades:<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving a loved one sick in the hospital is a stressful experience, let alone our family\u2019s situation with our beloved mother. This whole admission has been very hard on our family, and we appreciate all of the care we have received. We especially want to recognize nurse Vinny on the 7th floor of the Pavilion.<\/p>\n

\u201cVinny is the epitome of what it means to be a nurse. He was very attentive to both our mother and us as the family. He always checked in on us frequently, might I add, just to see if we needed anything. He was extremely kind and generous with his time and made our mother and whole family feel valued. He truly went above and beyond while caring for our mother, and for that we are forever grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n
