This annual event encourages health care safety and also serves as an important reminder of Cooper\u2019s journey toward becoming a High Reliability Organization and reaching a goal of zero harm. Every member of the Cooper team plays a vital role in this journey. We are pleased to share that despite the many challenges our providers faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, our team continued to reduce our serious safety events from 75 in 2020 to 45 in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout Patient Safety Awareness Week, Cooper team members from our safety and regulatory team will host a variety of virtual activities to help staff and providers recognize the impact of preventable harm and what we can do to prevent these events.
