Pneumatic tubes and carriers are used to send medications, specimens, and more to various areas of the hospital. To track the number of carriers in Cooper\u2019s system and to determine if we need to add carriers, we will begin to label each carrier with a numbered sticker starting the week of April 11, 2022. Please do not remove the stickers from the carriers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By taking this action, we will ensure that all units have a sufficient number of carriers and will eliminate the need for team members to call or visit other units to collect carriers. More importantly, it will allow for improved quality of patient care via more timely movement of specimens, medications, and other items that are sent through the pneumatic tube system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
