Next Wednesday, we will celebrate Cooper University Health Care\u2019s 135th<\/sup> anniversary.<\/p>\n

We have come a long way since opening our doors to patients on August 10, 1887. From a 30-bed hospital with eight doctors on staff \u2013 four physicians and four surgeons \u2013 Cooper has transformed into a respected academic medical center and regional health care leader, with a 30-block Health Science Campus in Camden, more than 100 outpatient locations, and three urgent care centers across South Jersey. Today, we have nearly 9,000 employees on our Cooper team, with more than 800 physicians practicing in more than 75 medical and surgical specialties.<\/p>\n
