Tammy Beringer, RN, CPN, daytime staff nurse, Kelemen 7 Pediatrics Unit, is the Daisy Award winner for June 2022. Tammy’s\u00a0dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care she provided to our Cooper patients earned her the following accolade:<\/p>\n

“My son was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. We had no idea; the experience has really been stressful and painful on our son and the family. We were feeling a little uneasy about all the learning. Dr. Gannon and his team have been great; Tammy was one of the nurses we had on January 28th. We felt a little defeated and insecure about taking our son home. Tammy patiently went over all the steps for treating a diabetic and even gave us tips. My son has been strong through the process and had his first breakdown today. Tammy reassured him, consoled him and the family, and gave us exceptional service. She even gave us tips on navigat[ing] the hospital. We were grateful that nurse Tammy gave us the confidence to go home and treat our son. Tammy you are a blessing. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors for all that you do!!”<\/p>\n
