{"id":1615,"date":"2014-12-15T12:01:26","date_gmt":"2014-12-15T12:01:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/?p=1615"},"modified":"2014-12-12T19:44:32","modified_gmt":"2014-12-12T19:44:32","slug":"cooper-early-intervention-offers-new-health-self-management-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2014\/12\/cooper-early-intervention-offers-new-health-self-management-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Cooper Early Intervention Offers New Health Self-Management Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Through a series of workshops held weekly for six weeks, participants will learn:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation as a result of their condition.<br \/>\n\u2022 Appropriate exercises for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance.<br \/>\n\u2022 Appropriate use of medications.<br \/>\n\u2022 How to communicate effectively with family, friends and health care professionals.<br \/>\n\u2022 About developing good nutritional habits.<br \/>\n\u2022 How to evaluate new treatments.<\/p>\n<p>The workshops will be held on Wednesday evenings from 5 to 7:30 p.m. beginning<strong> January 7, 2015<\/strong>, and continuing through<strong> February 11, 2015<\/strong>. A complimentary dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m. before each session. Participation is free and participants will receive a copy of \u201cLiving a Healthy Life With Chronic Conditions,\u201d a relaxation CD and other tools to help manage health.<\/p>\n<p>For more information or to register, please contact Yolanda Smith at 856.968.8651 or via email at <em>smith-yolanda@cooperhealth.edu<\/em>.
