{"id":16273,"date":"2022-09-13T15:19:01","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T19:19:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/?p=16273"},"modified":"2022-09-13T15:19:01","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T19:19:01","slug":"federal-student-loan-forgiveness-program-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2022\/09\/federal-student-loan-forgiveness-program-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cooper University Health Care team members may be eligible for student loan forgiveness under a federal government program known as Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).\u00a0Team members are eligible to participate in this program if they are a full-time team member, as specified below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time team member, worked at Cooper or qualifying employer for 10 years while making qualifying loan payments; or have made payments under a qualifying repayment plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are temporary changes through October 2022 that allow for participation even if a loan would not have qualified previously. To learn more about this program and whether you would be eligible, please visit the links below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pulse.cooperhealth.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/public-service-application-for-forgiveness.pdf\">PSLF application<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pulse.cooperhealth.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/PSLF-application-process.pdf\">PSLF application process<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You must complete sections one and two of the form.\u00a0After completing your sections, email the form to Cooper\u2019s Human Resources department at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:HRHRIS@CooperHealth.edu\">HRHRIS@CooperHealth.edu<\/a>. Human Resources will complete section three to certify the amount of time you have worked at Cooper.\u00a0Once Human Resources returns the form to you, please send it to FedLoan Servicing as indicated on the website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/manage-loans\/forgiveness-cancellation\/public-service\">here<\/a>.
