The Cooper Health System was resurveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and awarded Accreditation with Commendation for six years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians (until July 31, 2028).<\/p>\n
Accreditation with Commendation status recognizes Cooper\u2019s commitment to continually go beyond the confines of the classroom to make a genuine impact on physician practice and ultimately health care in the surrounding communities, the state of New Jersey, and nationwide. This criterion is met by approximately 25% of CME providers surveyed. Earning this status comes after a\u00a015-month extensive review of Cooper\u2019s Department of CME\u2019s self-study report, evidence of performance-in-practice, and an accreditation interview.\u00a0Cooper is the only hospital in South Jersey with national CME accreditation status.<\/p>\n
This reaccreditation achievement validates the professionalism of the current CME team in planning, implementation, and evaluation. \u00a0It could not be achieved without the high level of quality and accountability demonstrated by Cooper CME administration, faculty, and team members.<\/p>\n
ACCME accreditation seeks to assure both physicians and the public that CME activities provided by Cooper CME meet the high standards of the accreditation requirements and policies of the ACCME.\u00a0The ACCME rigorously evaluates the overall continuing medical education programs of institutions according to standards adopted by all seven founding organizations of the ACCME, which include the American Board of Medical Specialties, American Hospital Association, American Medical Association, Association for Hospital Medical Education, Association of American Medical Colleges, Council of Medical Specialty Societies, and the Federation of State Medical Boards of the United States.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
