On Friday, March 3, 2023, Cooper University Health Care and MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper will GO BLUE<\/strong> to recognize National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Team members throughout Cooper are encouraged to wear blue this Friday to show their support and raise awareness about colon cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.<\/p>\n

Regular colorectal cancer screening exams can find cancer at its earliest stage, when its most treatable. New guidelines recommend that men and women at average risk for colorectal cancer should get a screening colonoscopy beginning at age 45. People with an increased risk, such as those with a family history of colon cancer, should consider screening sooner.<\/p>\n

We encourage everyone to share photos of yourself, your coworkers, or your entire unit or department proudly wearing blue. Be sure to follow masking guidelines when taking photos.<\/p>\n
