March is Child Life Month. During this time, we honor and celebrate child life specialists and the Child Life profession through education and awareness of their work.<\/p>\n

Certified child life specialists have completed extensive training in how to provide psychosocial care for children in hospitals. They use their knowledge of child and adolescent development to assess each child’s coping mechanisms to create an emotionally safe and trauma-informed environment, resulting in a more positive hospital experience for children.<\/p>\n

Our heartfelt thanks go out to Sherry, Jenn, Debbie, Kerri, and Brittany for their unwavering commitment to our youngest patients.<\/p>\n
