cooperhealth.org<\/a>.<\/p>\nStar ratings are a user-friendly way to give patients and caregivers more context to better understand physician and provider performance. Using CG-CAHPS results, we will eliminate selection bias and skewed reviews that appear on commercial rating websites such as Google and WebMD. Additionally, visitors to our website can be assured the reviews they see have been left by verified patients.<\/p>\n
We are using the \u201cRate the Provider\u201d question in the CG-CAHPS Patient Experience Survey to calculate the star rating for each physician and provider. Patients may select any response from 0 to 10 for this question. The star rating is the average of all responses to this question transformed to a 0 to 5 scale, with 5 being the best score.<\/p>\n
The positive patient comments that will be published in the bio section have been reviewed to remove or redact any protected health information and inappropriate content. Star ratings and comments will be updated quarterly to display the rating results and reviews for the last four quarters. Physicians and providers with fewer than 30 surveys in that 12-month period are excluded in this process.\u00a0This new process has been reviewed in detail and unanimously approved by the chiefs, chairs, and institute and center medical directors.<\/p>\n
