There are many things you can do to stay healthy \u2013 from keeping up with your health care appointments to practicing healthy habits.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get regular checkups, including a yearly well-woman exam, and make sure you address any health concerns with your providers.<\/li>\n<li>Prioritize your mental health. To learn more, click <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/2021\/08\/free-assistance-with-managing-stress\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet that consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fat free or low-fat milk and other dairy products, and lean meats. Your diet should be low in sodium, added sugars, and saturated and trans fats.<\/li>\n<li>Stay active. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults should do at least 2 hours and 30 minutes a week of aerobic activity that requires moderate effort. Adults should also do strengthening activities that include all major muscle groups at least twice a week.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid tobacco products.<\/li>\n<li>Limit alcohol.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that you are getting at least seven hours of sleep each night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Ripa Center for Women\u2019s Health and Wellness provides a Women\u2019s Health Guide that provides helpful information on nutrition, health screenings, mammograms, heart health, and much more.
