Earlier this month, Dr. Kaitlan Baston<\/a>, Head of Cooper\u2019s Center for Healing and Medical Director for the Division of Addiction Medicine, accepted the Healthy New Jersey Award on behalf of her team at the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) 2023 Best at the Beach awards program.<\/p>\n

\u201cBest at the Beach is a celebration of the skilled, compassionate individuals who deliver top-quality health care that is recognized nationally,\u201d said NJHA President and CEO Cathy Bennett.<\/p>\n

The Cooper Center for Healing is an integrated center that provides innovative, compassionate care for patients with substance use disorder, pain, trauma, and psychiatric disorders. The center’s medical specialists are experts in addiction medicine, toxicology, emergency medicine and emergency medical services, internal medicine, family medicine, and psychiatry, and provide interdisciplinary specialty care in the hospital, ambulatory, and community settings. The center also has a robust interdisciplinary clinical team of behavioral health clinicians, nurses, and navigator specialists who offer services to patients in a biopsychosocial model, including helping them to address social determinants of health.<\/p>\n

Thank you to the entire Center for Healing team for continuing to knock down barriers to help those struggling with opioid addiction get the support and services they need.<\/p>\n
