This year, we\u2019re trying something new to spread holiday cheer by holding two contests: a <strong>holiday tree decorating contest<\/strong> and a <strong>snowman building contest<\/strong>. Departments or teams may choose to participate in either.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please be mindful of Cooper\u2019s decorating policy (<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/files\/2023\/11\/Decoration-Policy.pdf\"><strong>click here<\/strong><\/a><strong> for the policy and <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/weeklyrounds\/files\/2023\/11\/Holiday-Decoration-Poem-2019.pdf\"><strong>click here<\/strong><\/a><strong> for the Environment of Care Committee flyer.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Holiday Tree Decorating Contest:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The holiday tree decorating contest has been a long-standing Cooper tradition for many years. We invite teams to continue this tradition while also being conscious and inclusive of the many different cultures that exist here at Cooper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snowman Building Contest:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do You Want to Build a Snowman? Introducing Cooper\u2019s first snowman building contest, where you and your teams build and decorate a snowman, <strong>using anything but snow<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>Rules and guidelines for <strong>both<\/strong> contests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each department is responsible for providing its own <strong>tree<\/strong> or <strong>snowman<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Teams may decorate their <strong>tree<\/strong> or create the body of their <strong>snowman<\/strong> in any way they like, as long as it adheres to Cooper\u2019s decorating policy mentioned above.<\/li>\n<li>Upload a picture of your department\u2019s <strong>holiday tree<\/strong> or <strong>snowman<\/strong> via the <a href=\"https:\/\/pulse-plus.cooperhealth.edu\/member\/\"><strong>Pulse+<\/strong><\/a> app no later than <strong>Friday, December 22, 2023.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You must be on <strong>Pulse+<\/strong> to enter the contest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When uploading: In the subject line, <u>please include<\/u> your department\u2019s name and the shift category<\/strong> \u2013 Day Shift, Night Shift, Ambulatory Offices, or Corporate Offices \u2013 for your submission.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Teams may enter both contests<\/strong>, but <strong>holiday<\/strong> <strong>tree<\/strong> and <strong>snowman<\/strong> entries must be posted <strong><u>separately<\/u><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submissions should only be posted <u>once<\/u> to Pulse+ to avoid duplicate votes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All Cooper team members will get a chance to review the display and \u2018like\u2019 their favorite<strong> holiday tree <\/strong>or<strong> snowman<\/strong>. The display with the most \u2018likes\u2019 for each category will be the winner for that category. Team members can only \u2018like\u2019 each display once.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISPLAYS SHOULD BE \u2018LIKED\u2019 ACCORDING TO:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Originality<br \/>\n\u2022 Quality of work<br \/>\n\u2022 Creative use of materials<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRIZES:<\/strong><br \/>\nA $100 gift card will be awarded to the department with the best decorated <strong>holiday tree<\/strong> or <strong>snowman <\/strong>in the following categories:<br \/>\n\u2022 Day Shift<br \/>\n\u2022 Night Shift<br \/>\n\u2022 Ambulatory Offices<br \/>\n\u2022 Corporate Offices<\/p>\n<p>Voting for both contests will close <strong>Friday, December 29, 2023<\/strong>, and the winners for each category will be announced the first week of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Learn how to install, subscribe, share, and use the Pulse+ app by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/request.cooperhealth.org\/apps\/pulse-plus\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Tis the season for some holiday spirit!
