Genevieve\u2019s dedication to Cooper nursing and the extraordinary care she provides to our Cooper patients earned her the following accolade:<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u00a0am a radiation oncologist here at MD Anderson Cooper, with a busy clinical practice. My office practice nurse\u00a0is by and large the\u00a0most critical part of our team. Despite our heavy patient volume, she is always engaged with patient and family needs, anticipating\u00a0whatever she can do to ensure an excellent experience for all. She goes above and beyond maintaining\u00a0closed loop communication ensuring that necessary tasks and optional ones too are followed through on. She practices to the full scope of her practice with excellence and professionalism. She is admired and respected by her peers and colleagues. As an anecdote, we unfortunately\u00a0had a tragic incident in the department earlier this week with a patient code. She was instrumental and critical in ensuring proper protocol was not only\u00a0followed swiftly, but effectively. She is a born leader and courageous at that. There is nobody more deserving of this award.\u201d<\/p>\n
