Brad\u2019s dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care he provides to our Cooper patients earned him the following accolade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had bypass surgery and was on the floor. I was two days post-op\u00a0and went into A-fib with a HR of 140 for over 12 hours. During that time, Brad was diligent in keeping me safe and ensuring communication with the team on how to treat the issue. With each intervention he took the time to explain what was happening and why we were doing things. My wife is a nurse and understood everything, but I did not. He never assumed she would tell me the details he did. I had\u00a0a 25 second heart rate pause and before we called for him,\u00a0he was already in contact with the\u00a0team. He was always thorough with his assessment of me because I\u00a0was showing effects of having a heart rate so high for so long. I know you may say that he was just \u2018doing his job\u2019 which he was, but the way in which he provided his care made me feel that I was OK and would get through this hiccup in my post op recovery. He always treated my wife with kindness and respect with all her questions and suggestions. It is the little things\u00a0in nursing care that make an impact on patients and families,\u00a0and he demonstrated\u00a0this his entire 12-hour shift\u00a0with me never faltering. The next day\u00a0he was not assigned to us but\u00a0kept an eye out to make sure I\u00a0was good.
