In preparation for the construction of a new patient tower on our Camden Campus as part of Project Imagine<\/a> \u2013 Cooper\u2019s planned, multi-year expansion \u2013 utility crews are conducting video surveillance of the sewage and storm water lines around Cooper University Hospital on Tuesday, August 27 and Wednesday, August 28, with work possibly continuing into Thursday, August 29.<\/p>\n

This testing necessitates some traffic lane and sidewalk closures for four-hour periods over two days<\/strong>, as illustrated on the maps below. Signage around the exterior of the hospital will indicate alternate, safe walking and driving routes for patients, team members, and the public during this time.<\/p>\n

Please be aware that if the utility crew encounters unforeseen obstacles in the sewer lines, the planned four-hour work windows may need to be extended through Thursday.<\/p>\n

Work Completed<\/strong>
\nSidewalk closed along corner of MLK Boulevard and 6th<\/sup> Street up to visitor drop-off. Right lane of MLK closed starting in front of Ronald McDonald house, opening back up to vehicular traffic in front of Roberts Pavilion. Cars exiting the main entry loop and the Hospital Parking Garage will not be able to turn right to access MLK, but instead will need to turn left and go around the block via Stevens Street and Broadway to access MLK.<\/p>\n

\nSidewalk closed along MLK Boulevard from Joint Health Sciences Center to Ronald McDonald House and on Broadway between Stevens Street and MLK. Shoulder of road along Broadway will also be closed.<\/p>\n
