This mark of distinction was awarded following a rigorous vetting process in which Newsweek\u2014in partnership with consumer data company Statista\u2014performed analytics on patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, safety, and quality of care at hospitals nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Cooper, we continually strive for excellence, and this honor is a testament to Cooper\u2019s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional health care and innovative treatments and services throughout southern New Jersey and beyond for more than 138 years,\u201d said George E. Norcross III, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cooper University Health Care.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/rankings\/americas-best-state-hospitals-2025\">Newsweek Best Hospitals<\/a>\u00a0list is an annual ranking that evaluates hospitals based on several key criteria. The methodology is designed to assess the quality of care, clinical performance, and reputation of hospitals nationwide. The main criteria include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hospital Quality Metrics:<\/strong>\u00a0Quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, and accreditation data from various sources were considered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nationwide Online Survey<\/strong>: From July to August 2024, an online survey among medical professionals (doctors, hospital managers, and health care workers) was conducted in cooperation with\u00a0Newsweek. Hospitals from all U.S. states were included in the survey. Participants were asked to recommend the best hospitals (in and out of state) based on their expertise.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Results from HCAHPS<\/strong>\u00a0patient experience surveys.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Statista PROMS implementation Survey<\/strong>: To account for the increasing importance of patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), hospitals that participated in the voluntary PROMs implementation survey received a PROMs implementation score.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThis recognition from Newsweek underscores Cooper\u2019s mission to provide extraordinary health care to our community.
